CSA Community Supported Agriculture
Community-supported agriculture (CSA) sometimes known as community-shared agriculture is an alternative, locally-based economic model of agriculture and food distribution. A CSA also refers to a particular network or association of individuals who have pledged to support one or more local farms.
Please support Food by Design by purchasing your weekly CSA food baskets up front. This allows us to order seeds and soil amendments so we can get ahead of the growing season.
How it works: pay up front for six months. Each week beginning in May and ending the last week in October, we will drop off your share at a community drop-off spot where you can come and pick it up. You can order a full share which is about the size of a grocery bag. You can order a half share if you have a smaller household. Or you can pay for a discounted share that gets donated each week to a community member that could use fresh healthy produce.
You’ll also receive a free holiday basket next Thanksgiving and Christmas made up of homemade salsa, jams, and other home-canned goods for the winter all made by our program participants.
